Education/Background: Mr. Stolier received his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University (BS 1970) and is an Honors Graduate of Tulane University (JD 1973) (Recipient of the Walter E. Suther Award in Security Rights).

Mr. Stolier's practice is concentrated in healthcare regulation. Having served in the Washington D.C. office of the Office of General Counsel with the United States Department of Health, Education and Welfare (and its successor agency, United States Department of Health and Human Services), he returned to New Orleans in 1985 and in 1987 co-founded the firm.

His current focus involves complex Medicare/Medicaid regulatory matters, healthcare provider transactions and finance, state survey and federal certification; and fraud and abuse counseling.

Mr. Stolier serves as General Counsel to a trade association of 44 small rural hospitals and provides general counsel and specialized services to large publicly traded hospital companies, non-profit companies and local proprietary and non-profit hospitals and other providers in Louisiana. Mr. Stolier's practice calls upon him to advocate before state and federal administrative agencies. He also has substantial experience in governmental relations with the state legislative and executive branches, with CMS at the federal level, and with Congress.
